Thanks for the welcome! Just a bit of adductor and quad DOMS to report from day 1, but some gentle mobility/stretching has improved that already (I think I've reached an age where things just get creaky overnight anyway!). I've got a run and a swim planned today, and some gardening to do, so day 2 will happen tomorrow. I have far less upper body strength so need to find where the lighter dumbbells have gone... |

Did a kettlebell session with CG today. This one had lunges and Bulgarian squats, both of which I'm very feeble at. Was knackered by the time I'd finished.😫

I did day 3 of iron at lunch time. I used 5kg on the hip raises, then increased to 8kg. For the lunges I did just body weight and found them very hard, then when she said to do single leg hip raises, I just couldn't so went back to 2 legs but no weights. It was definitely a tough session, shaking legs by the end - I predict DOMS will follow. I checking in argos for those bargain weights but got there too late and they are sold out. |

Elsie Too if you have an Asda they do 2,3,4, and 5kg dumbbells and some bigger kettle bells. I mainly used the 3kg and 4kg, it was enough for me.

Don't have an Asda near home but I think there is one near work. But online I only see 2kg dumb bells. I currently have 1, 1.5 and 2.5kg The range has this which seems like it might be good - but it looks like it's just one dumb bell, rather than a pair: therange.co.uk (and as person that works on a development team for an eComm website I'm annoyed that they don't have it set up correctly - so the 15kg is £29.99 but the 10kg and 20kg is showing as £999.99 which to me says they forgot to set up the price for the product variants) |
