Went to Tescos this morning, no dumbbells. Their 'sports' section is featuring camping stuff and water sports now.

I found the same yesterday, Shades. Checked out the sports area in a big Tesco, nada. But when I get back to civilisation I'll check out The Range, because I could do with a pair of nice-to-hold dumbbells that are bigger than 5kg.

I'll have a look in The Range too. Won't be this weekend as the BH traffic will be too annoying.

It was an interesting call of yours, Shades. It hadn't occurred to me that The Range would sell dumbbells as well as being, I'm told, one of the best places to buy summer bedding plants. The only thing I've ever bought from there was a cheap wardrobe.

The Range is across the road from my dentist. So instead of using the dentist's small car park I tend to park in The Range and then pop in for a look. They have an astonishing amount of stuff.

So glad I couldn't find any heavier dumbbells yesterday as the CG session I did today I found really hard. Biceps and triceps burning. Early lunch and recovering on the sofa now. |

I'm going to restart the Iron Sereis today - and I will start with Day One - legs - rather than swapping day One and Day Two around as I did last time. I'm either going to up the weights or slow some of the moves right down to make them more challenging. Can't go heavier than 10kg I used on the goblet squat cos that's the heaviest I have. Anyway let's see how it goes. Am also hoping to complete the whole thing in seven weeks rather than eight. She takes six but I won't be doing five sessions a week. Yes i could if I just used light weights or body weight but I'm pretty sure I will see more improvement going heavier and slower but a max of four sessions per week. Hmm 7x4 = 28. Ok, 7 and a half weeks perhaps! |

Will be interested to see if I get the Day One DOMS! (I didn't last time, but O did find it hard work and it 'was' my day 2 not day one.)

That'll be interesting, Sharkie . I didn't notice DOMS yesterday after Saturday's attempt at day 4... the all body workout. This morning my legs didn't feel too bad to start with but I've done some intervals since and now I can really feel the DOMs in my glutes. My deadlifting session this afternoon will be.... challenging, I think! |

You do use pretty heavy weights though, Ness ! 2 x 10kg for bent over row! (or was it 1 x 10kg? Still heavy!
