We are in London for the weekend so I went and did Brockwell Park parkrun, which is on tarmac paths, in quite a hilly but very nice park. Lots going on with tennis courts, football pitches and the lido as well. Quite blustery today, but I really enjoyed it, and 370 there today. I’m staying closer to Clapham parkrun but it looked very muddy in parts so I went to Brockwell for the tarmac. 5 miles there, the event, and then 2.5 back to the hotel so it was a nice start to the day.

Bit of controversy today with second place finisher not actually crossing the finish line 😱 wow! I’m surprise they got clicked by the timers!
I was one of said timers and we didn’t click him. He entered the funnel at the exit to get his token and kicked up a fuss. We clicked him in fourth to keep the numbers in line, but I can see an issue in the official results with third place who we clicked in second not there.

It should be simple enough to fix if he gets slotted in at second. The ones who were second and third shuffle down and our click for fourth got things in line thereafter. Both timers and the tokens were in sync throughout.
Looks like the time for third has been lost.

Yep simple to fix, but does the RD let the guy be second or does he make him take 4th. Was he a first timer? I thought most people would realise they need to go in the funnel.
