Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

my 7 day average is currently 105, I have no idea if that is good or bad but it's towards about as high as mine gets as a rule.

Although there are vague trends in HRV across a population, specific values are highly individual, and its personal trends that matter for interpretation.

There was a GCN film a while ago where one presenter had a range about 3x higher than another, despite them both being former elite pro riders of similar age. The trends in individual data gave useful insights though.

Statistically good relative to a population of similar age, @EvilPixie and @Rosehip :)

I'm not sure how far wrist based measurement can be trusted to be sensitive enough to give useful information. Some people seem to be able to make deductions about their health or level of fatigue from their HRV. Variations in mine are mostly random.

My HRV is around 40-50 so pretty average for my age according to that article.

Garmin has decided not to give me a suggestion today
I think this is because I have added some future training workouts so it’s sulking

Mine doesn't give suggestions anymore, Pix. I have to scroll through the menu to find it. Today, it says "Recovery 11:55" for 32:00 which I'm ignoring.😜😂

Found it!
Rest!
Err no!
It’s given me rest the last few days whilst also saying I’m recovering well from runs, balanced HRV, RHR good sleep good and BB good!
Silly thing

Mine says rest too. Reasonably appropriate.

I did a long run
Today - base run …. Plus it’s dropped my target pace again!

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!
