Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Still overreaching as the green tunnel catches up after my break.

VO2max has dropped another point after my run today, which is fine given that I'm a bit slower and HR is higher than before the break.

HRV is bouncing back and is Balanced (could it be that my body got used to doing this much training and was freaked out when I didn't? Is this what my body thinks is normal?)

Recovery is 47 hours and it recommended a rest day.

I feel fine and I'm continuing to ignore it.

I've flipped to Productive today, but my HRV is still dropping. It's suggested 40min at 11.50mm today, which will allow it to declare my training load Low by tomorrow.

My sleep was so poor (night shift) that my recovery went from 0 to 11hrs, I went from productive to maintaining, training readiness from high to low and my suggested workout is 'rest day'.

Unfortunately for my Garmin (and possibly me), I shall still be going out for a reasonable effort at around 8 miles shortly.

I’ve been in recovery for two weeks (makes me sound like an alcoholic) as that was the last time I ran due to my calf going nope at me.

Apparently, I'm productive again now. I swear it has no logic to it sometimes...

Mine is currently telling me I'm in Recovery and acute load is low.

I suppose that's pretty good during a taper, but it's freaking my taper brain out a bit!

turn it off if it is likely to make you go do more than you need to, @SilentTim !

Am still 'maintaining' that's fine if I did what Garmin wants me to do to get back to productive I would get broken very quickly - it's gone from suggesting 'base' every day to threshold and anaerobic sessions and not much else. It is stupid.

Yesterday's Productive reverted to Maintaining once I'd been for a run, but it's waiting till closer to the marathon before dropping my HRV out of the "balanced" zone.

I note that it has never bothered to tell me that my absolute HRV value is quite good for a woman of my age. I had to look elsewhere for that information. Git.

My HRV is 76+
No idea if that’s good
When I did SPR it was over 110!

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
