Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I tried to do the workout Garmin suggested today, 4 x 6 mins 'threshold'

It is very thick when it comes to beeping 'too high' or 'too low' for heart rate - not giving anywhere near enough time for rate to increase or decrease before it gets stroppy. Very annoying!

By feel, I *think* it now has my LThr HR in about the right spot - it's been guestimating it up and down all over the place and the pace for that hr is becoming more realistic

I have lost so much pace though - and I was slow to start with :(

I have barely run this week. My acute load is low.

Yet somehow, the line for my V02 max is going up?!

PRODUCTIVE!

Day off so a bit of a lie in and my body battery is at 96! Hasn't been that high since February. HRV is balanced, training load is optimal, all is good with the world.

Recovery 51 hours. Recommends a rest day. Ah well.

Oh, and my fitness age has gone up a year, but it is my birthday so I guess that's fair enough.

I'm back to productive after the marathon yesterday, too. My VO2 max also went up by a point to 55. My RHR is higher than usual, no surprise there. Of course, Garmin suggests rest and I have 57 hours of recovery. I think I may take a few more though 😆

I'm Productive with a suggestion of rest today too, health metrics all fine apart from Body Battery only getting up to 67 this morning (it was down to 10 last night).

If that bloody Garmin is using some sort of white magic to control my marathon effort levels to minimise recovery burden, I'll take a lump hammer to it :-O

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
