I've got what looks like a reasonably sensible suggestion of one hour and 34 minutes at 9.40mm, though it's been labelled Long Run rather than Marathon Pace Run. Unless the weather pipes down it's going to be a treadmill day and there's no way my brain or my calves are ready for that long or that fast on the treadmill.

Otherwise it remains quietly contented with my condition.

I got a reasonable suggestion of "Base at 10:25/mi for 45:00". The snow, slush and water in places on the paths meant I wasn't going to try to get to that pace. Instead I opted for a slower and safer, 7 miles at 11:11/mi pace. Now my Garmin says my training was....

Productive! 🤪🤷‍♀️

I'm still productive but Garmin also warns my acute load is high and my training readiness is poor. To be fair it's probably right for once. Only easy running until Tuesday anyway and a total rest day tomorrow so readiness should start to improve. It's interesting that it's overall happy despite me totally ignoring its suggestions.

I’m productive still but have been told every day for the last few weeks to have a rest! Have ignored because I know I will have a rest when the weather is horrid or when life gets in the way or if I really feel the need for it. Today was that day (weather) and yesterday was just a short run so I’m expecting that tomorrow my data will be looking good

Garmin coach really isn't at all clever is it?

Usually Weds is set as a rest day, but for this week I changed it to Tuesday and it gave me an hour base yesterday. I did that, but didn't actually start the workout, but did record the run with the garmin as per usual.

'coach' doesn't think I ran at all, has Tues and Weds as rest days and wants me to do 1 hr 17 mins today.

IF I was seriously and blindly following it's plan, that would be a little annoying - or potentially too much?

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
