They have been ok for me normally. But, when I do a lot of easy low hr training, it underestimate. And like now, when I do a lot of treadmill sessions, it overestimates.

Garmin gave a sleep score of 56 despite a sound night of 8+ hours. I got similar yesterday. It doesn’t approve of Benylin induced sleep, it seems.

I've never had good predictions on the 255 and the 245 was shakey as well.

The old style predictor seemed to work better for 5k for me.

Garmin Connect doesn't seem to be connecting to Fetch today. My run hasn't been uploaded here yet. My status according to Garmin is....

Body Battery - 54 now and was 90 when I first got up. "Your body battery is increased 56 points while you slept. If you can, try to find some time to relax to avoid bottoming out."
VO2 max - superior 48
Training status - Maintaining - High Aerobic Shortage
Load - optimal 848
Sleep Score - fair 76 for 6h 53m "Shorter thanideal, continuous"
HR - resting - 44
Today's training suggestion - Threshold 2x16:00@8:15/mi 47:00 .... Nope ran longer and much slower!

Most people complain that the predictions are too fast, but mine are too slow. It would be nice if it could somehow feed in what you actually do.

It have been to slow for me too in the past, I beat the prediction of a marathon with 6 min last year.
Also one of my 10k, Garmin predicted slower.

I also think it should take in account what you actually accomplished on a race. And adjust accordingly.

About This Thread

According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
