I don't know if it'll change. Will be interesting to see if it does. Your training is progressing very well.

I'm sure that 45.5 is a lie. I think I did some testing around it. It doesn't like recommending BMI changes that will reduce fitness age unless you're at a certain level.

See 39,427 on the page above. Possible that there have been changed since my experiment in January though.

My garmin used to give me a silly fitness age of about 20 but now I have a new one it says my fitness age is 42.5 which feels more realistic given that I’m 48

Interesting, I appear to have zero vigorous days in the last month. I would think too many road crossings dropping my HR, but even last weekend there's a parkrun with 22 vigorous minutes and that can't possibly have had sub-vigorous-whatever-that-is HR often enough not to get at least one 5 minute block.

That's good. I can see my fitness age zig-zagging up and down the last few weeks, think it has been dropping in and out. It tells me to get the vigorous days in and lose weight...

Yup, after I ran home it popped up again, back to my minimum attainable fitness age and no longer being told to eat less. Well, not by Garmin anyway 😄

I hadn’t noticed the vigorous days, but looking at it it says 4w average is 0 per week, even though the individual days have vig min data.
Maybe if it finds them again it won’t be so judgemental about my bmi -

Though it does say that’s the priority, not the vig mins.

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
