I have been looking at some of the other data mine produces and I’ve ignored until now
- I seem to have a very high vertical oscillation ratio, going to see how this changes with pace as am hoping it’s down to the short stride required to jog slowly at lower hr.

Very likely. With running dynamics, I found I was mainly paying attention to left/right balance, which tends to worsen if my knee is troubling me. I never really figured out how the others interrelated with running form; efficient form would probably translate to a lower VO ratio, as VO is tightly connected to cadence and the ratio falls with increasing stride length at the same cadence. This doesn't devalue training slowly, if anything it's probably telling you that you're doing the right thing for slow jogging.

Body Battery - 47 now, down from 75 when I got up. "Your body battery increased 52 points while you slept. Stress can cause your battery levels to drop, so look for opportunities to relax today."

VO2 max - superior 48
Training status - Maintaining - High Aerobic Shortage
Load - optimal 925
Sleep Score - fair 78 for 6h 53m "continuous"
HR - resting - 49
Today's training suggestion - "Rest" I did an intervals session, an hour's gardening and will do some weight training later. Will rest in the gaps though! 😉😂

The newer watches (255 for example) have power from wrist. Older watches need a chest strap with run dynamics (lost track of if that's standard with Garmin chest straps now but it wasn't previously) or the RD pod (I have this and use it occasionally).

You don't get the balance stuff Badger refers to with from the wrist.

Body Battery - 100
Training Readiness - Prime
Training Status - Productive
Sleep Score - 96
HR - 37 resting
Today’s suggestion was 46:00 tempo run so I did a 1:05 tempo run.

The problem now is that I need to pick my car up later so do I have a nice steady 10k run back to get it and ignore Garmin’s suggested 46h of recovery that it thinks I need?

Recovery is to next hard effort, however if you did 7 miles tempo earlier, a run of just under that length later doesn't seem like smart training however easy it is if your run history on here is correct.

have had a thought as to where strap maybe - if I can remember to look I will try again saturday!

Yet again Garmin wanted me to do a threshold run today
I ran to work instead

Velociraptor you made a comment on your training the other day that garmin thought that you should do 40m this week .... err how? where?

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
