Had a shocking run at Stur Half yesterday, couldn't keep my HR down in the high humidity. But still a lovely race. My new PW for a half, 4 seconds slower than my first half back in 1996.
Just managed to scrape a 57.51% WAVA.

Well done to all with the parkruns +60%, great running

Mr. K.
It was a bit warm yesterday Shades. I didn`t get my pacing right but ticked it off as a nice run.

Nice hill at mile 11/12. Using some of the course from the Marathon route but backward was a bit weird.

Yes that hill is a killer, but it is a nice down hill from there to the finish. Oh, by the way, the marathon uses some of the half route, but backwards!

At least you enjoyed the race Shades. Not much you can do with your HR. It was rather humid at the weekend as Mr. K says.

My next 60% will be at Silverstone 10k on the 4th September.

Mr K/westmoors - Stur Half is a lovely race, yes I agree does feel odd running part of the marathon course in reverse. I didn't mind the hill at 11/12 as that was the coolest part of the course and I knew the Avenue of Trees was coming up, which is beautiful and was cool there too.

WW - your next 10k, that's said with determination and a good degree of confidence.

I have a marathon next, not until 24th August though.

Some really good running from people here. I haven’t been around much as I am sulking a bit about an injured foot.

Ran my last 10k of the 3 race series tonight and did 47.43 which gives me 64.97% 😃😃😃 Was supposed to do a half marathon this Sunday but my foot is too sore I think 😢 I was only going to jog it anyway at training pace but I think it needs rest (extensor tendinitis)

Sorry to hear that GF is it the old PF injury from many years ago? 64.97% is still a brilliant result though.

Thanks WW

The Pf problem has never completely gone, it’s still quite broken- I ‘manage’ it which is why I can’t really run that much, 20mpw is upper limit really. It won’t let me run forever but keeping it up while I still can. But this is extensor tendinitis in the same foot, not sure how much rest it needs or how long it takes to go away 😢

GF - great result at your 10k.

Sorry to hear your foot is playing up again, you manage it well though.
