julbags Really enjoyed this race, did better than I thought considering my lack of any fast running over the last couple of weeks and Xmas overindulgence. Did a good two mile warmup but then didn't appreciate that the start was over 3/4 of a mile away from where I was parked, d'oh. Only just got there in time! The extra warmup didn't seem to cause any problems for me though and the course was really enjoyable. I paced it well I think but did spend the first couple of miles regretting all the mince pies I'd stuffed myself with though not enough that I didn't eat the mince pie I brought to eat post race.
