The Plod This is a new course but still mainly flat by all accounts. seemed like uphill all way to 5m, sharp down then up to the 9th mile then flat. wet muddy slow. nice run though.

Pitt the Elder My Garmin measured the distance as 9.86 miles, but I must have cut the odd corner, I guess. Found this one harder than I'd expected it to be ... it wasn't completely flat as I'd expected, probably more rolling ... the first half mile is slightly downhill then it's gradually uphill for most of the first 5 miles ... you climb 200 feet in 4.5 miles. Not a huge climb, but it did help to put my heart rate up to threshold then and it stayed that way for the rest of the race. Drop fairly quickly for the next half mile into Nantgarw and down to the roundabout then down to Taffs Well looping back through the industrial estate after the railway station, onto the Taff Trail again and then the best part of a mile ever so slightly uphill back to the finish at the Pottery pub.
