hopisen Really enjoyed it, even though I found the last fives miles deathly - seeing that long run to the turnaround point, and then the climb back nearly did me in! Was going well up to 21 miles, but then started cramping and had to shuffle/walk the rest.

Probably a consequence of pushing myself a bit too hard early on, but I don't regret that at all - I wasn't sure what my right pace was and ended up with a 39 min PB and lessons on how to improve for next time! Well organised race too- aside from smal bottleneck in first couple of hundred metres, seemed to run like clockwork.

JovialGnome I'm going to break that 5hr mark if it kills me.... well not literally you understand but watch this space! Great inaugural race, friendly and reasonably well organized though the marshalling and water was lacking in a couple of places but I'd do it again and that says a lot!
