Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Bosun Tony One of the marathon majors. Great experience doing a marathon of this size. Very well organised. The roads are really wide and plenty of room after only a few K's. Course was really flat & i'm sure if I had pushed on a bit would have had a really good time, nearer 3 : 30 than 3 : 36. Would do this one again. You even get as much free beer as you want at the end !!!

controversial trying to go un 3h30 ... let see what happens!

And I did it ... but playing very conservative. I was really fearing the end of the race, so i put myself 3 minutes in front of 3:30:00 pace over the first half and then managed the advantage till the end. Still the last 10 K were very painfull. Damn heat!
Only on problem with the organisation ... drinking in cups is almost impossible when you are running!

wizlyn Very very hot day: 27 degrees, and felt like it on the course - but route was as fast and flat as advertised.

Really pleased with time - nearly 14 mins off PB and 65th woman overall - despite a tough patch 30k to 40k when I got the dreaded cold skin dehydration thing (my cup-drinking technique requires work - had to walk through the last couple of water stations...) - and a couple of minutes lost c. 36k to an emergency pitstop(!)
