Wabo, Happy birthday, hope it's a good day for your daughter.
Set out to do some muddy trails and see how my shoes fared this morning, not actually as muddy as they can be but hey, got about half way and friend messaged re meeting in town, I said was running how about 11.30, she said be at coffee shop 11.15, cue finding a slightly shorter route back, not so sure it was that successful but made it in time! 9 miles covered. Still not sure what shoes will work for the ultra - it's the 8m on tarmac gonna be harsh if wear the trail ones!
Domestic stuff this afternoon.
Hope all have had a good day.
Still not mastered my Kitchener stitch on a practise seam

Good afternoon

Lyrics : No

What : just a couple of short walks between train station and office

Currently sat on a train in Euston station after my previous train (due to leave an hour ago) didn’t actually set off! Hoping this one gets me home 🤞

Good evening!

Lyrics: no, I'm on a dry streak again
What: 4.22M easy peasy
Why: felt like I wanted to stretch the legs and promised I'd keep it well easy -- which I did.
Last hard: yesterday
Last rest: Saturday

That felt like a proper easy run, barely a notion I'd churned out 18M yesterday. Not sure who she is or what's she's done to me, but I like this runner with quicker recovery inside me!

@Derby Tup : Somehow I picked the only dry moment of the day! Hope you managed too.
@Diogenes : rest after long run day sounds sensible. (Clearly I'm not)
@PeterFay : Hope your parcel turns up
@I Believe in Unsafe Breadbin : good luck with the taper!
@Wabo : Happy birthday to the young lady!
@ElspethF : Once you get the rhythm, Kitchener stitch is fun! but I can't get interrupted or it's total mayhem.
Hope you got home, @lin50 !!

@lin50 - glad to hear! Hope it wasn't "tornado threw trees on the line" type stuff...

Evening

What 2.5 miles easy from Rotherham town centre to get the car

Why recovery and getting the car to pass its MOT
Last hard Sunday

Last rest Saturday

Got soaked throwing it down with rain, flood water on the roads coming onto the pavement in waves as car went through. I would have imagined rush hour would have been great fun.

Evening, forgot to look for the thread

Lyrics -no
What - 5 miles 'easy' without a walk break and average time starting with a 12. It's not easy, but it isn't a hard effort - if that makes sense.

last hard - getting out the door to do it in the drizzle
