The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Having moved into the over 70s in January 2024, I managed to put a six centimetre tear in a hamstring tendon in February. One consultant said I may never run again; another consultant and I are trying to prove him wrong. Hopefully running, albeit it slowly, in a couple more months, perhaps by August 2024. My competitive days may be over though, but again... Was reasonably fit in Feb 24 if 75% WAVA without being flat out is reasonable. Re the name Alehouse, in the mid 70s I was at Uni and founded the cross country touring team using the name Alehouse Academicals. Academicals has been dropped but the team lives on with kit a plenty as well these days.
