You are right @Shark the Herald Angel . I keep reminding myself that when Caroline die body weight squats she is probably moving less weight than when I do it, so less reps for now is fine.

Thanks for the tip @Shark the Herald Angel I used my step when I tried [hope you don't mind @EvilPixie have borrowed your photo cos my step is the same as yours]....

And I wasn't comfortable doing the hip thrusts resting on it. Will try doing the workout in the living room and using our sofa instead.

I did "day 10" today because I had a couple of hours to spare in the afternoon. I normally do the sessions on Saturday but want to spend a bit more time with mum at the hospital tomorrow so did it today instead. I found it particularly hard going but will keep at it.

Yeah, Ness that step looks all wrong for hip thrusts. Let us know how you get on in the living room!

Take Two Iron Day 21. The one with lunges and step ups in rest free supersets. Then six none stop minutes of weighted calf raises.

I messed the calf raises up. I write brief notes of the exercises and weights used last time and add the new weight as we go along. So I don't always look at the screen - just listen for those beeps. I really can't remember putting my non working leg up on a chair or bench behind me last time AND this time I forgot 'til a third of the way through that it's only one weight. Misread my own notes!

I can usually do calf raises and heel drops 'til the cows come home but found the one leg on a chair thing very tricky with 2 x 8kg weights.

SO I did a few extra calf raises in parallel and first position at the end to make up for the messiness.

I have returned from Scotland, having put an offer in on a house, to find it all-systems-go and my feet haven’t touched the ground. No time to train at all. I made it to the gym only to say hello on my way to work and to put some fresh kit in my locker. I think this week is a write-off, but hopefully can restart next week after arrangements are well in place to move.

Good news on the house life does get in the way now and again so take pressure off and hope all goes swimmingly.

About This Thread

Caroline Girvan - tiny but tough, sweet but strong.

Here's a thread rather in the manner of the Shred craze that swept Fetchland some years ago, or perhaps more recently (and less bossily) Adriene's 30 Days of Yoga each year. I found Caroline Girvan via geordiegirl (ta, GG!) and am well impressed with her workouts. I'm currently on Day 27 of her 30 day Iron Series and have STUCK TO IT. Wonders will never cease, I was beginning to despair of the likelihood of me getting any sort...
