Went out to do my mile attempt this evening. I think I was going quite well but my guts decided to not play nice so I had to abort. Completed the mile after a walk break and then easyish pace to clock 9:18. Will try again in a couple of weeks.

Hard luck and well done in equal measure westmoors. I hope you're feeling much better now and better luck next time.

An attempt today. Really didn't go to plan at all.

I was worse in July than May and June, I have yet to attempt August. However, hard luck but well done Sombrero

Hope things are better westmoors

Good thing about the mile is you can always try again fairly soon if you have a off day Sombrero

Hope you are feeling better Westmoors.
You can always redo next week Sombrero.

I am going to go out next week and run the mile.I have a nice route just 4 laps for a mile.I just need to squeeze it in somewhere.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
