:-D My virtual 5k won't be a parkrun - maybe one day but my parkrun will be slower than my home virtual 5k |

Parkruns are rare for me due to work and family but on a late shift next Saturday so may do parkrun before or may just stay in bed π

thanks for FF for the inspiration I started the mile as I don't do speed work but I also then realised that 1m I can balls out but I don't do speed work so run one paced hence I started doing a 5k time trial (well I have done 1!!) which showed I really struggle to push hard for any length of time |

I'm doing parkrun regularly so won't do the virtual 5k as well but good on you EP for setting it up for others. π I did my usual at Aberdeen parkrun today - brisk walk to halfway then 20/40 run/walk on the way back. I had my daughter SusiSue28 for company, as she is recovering from a pretty bad chest infection, so was happy to just bimble round with me to get her parkrun in. Delighted to knock 3 seconds off my last time, despite a strong headwind on the outward half, and my best benchmark mile this year of 13:49. Still hard but it's getting "easier" and I'm not completely exhausted when I finish so all good! π |
