There is so much stuff tucked away it's like a rabbit warren, you could pass hours on here but forget what you found and where you found it.

Welcome riggys99 that's a nice quick mile at the end of a run. You should do very well at a stand alone mile.

Thanks probably won’t do a stand-alone mile till May after the marathon

ooh, just spotted this thread and sounds like a grand plan. I have a real mile race at the end of April but will be virtual ones for the rest of the year.

March has been pants so not sure I want to enter a mile time this month! :-O

Actually, just checked my benchmarks and it is not quite as bad as I feared so I have put down a mile for March which was part of a parkrun - gives me something to improve on in April.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.
