Thanks for the thread!

I usually shy away from short and fast so this could be a way of motivating me into trying to do a bit of exactly that every now and then. I did wait until almost the end of the month though.

First attempt this month - did 1 single mile instead of the final 1200 of a 4 x 1200m session. I think I will do that rather than take the fastest split I might find in training / racing.

Pleased with 6:46 - did run it with a slight tailwind and not as an all-out effort. Just a couple of seconds slower than my fastest mile this year (in a 10k)

Looking to improve on it in the coming months. Fastest benchmark I have recorded on Fetch is a 6:24 - downhill in a race.

I have a warm up run then press the lap counter for my mile. When I did my March mile I set off too quick and knew I wouldn’t be able to sustain it so slowed down until I got my breath back then pressed lap again. This time I paced it just right and beat my Feb time by 11 secs. It’s my fastest mile since my return to running and Fetch. It’s still a long way from my previous PB which I got at the Big Fetch Mile in Manchester (more than a few years ago) 😜
