I'm first M55 in my postcode, and used to be first overall, but have now dropped to 5th, despite actually getting faster - curious. Must be some fast runners moving in round here.

rhb, check out https://www.runbritainrankings.com/.

rhb, some postcodes are harder than others! And M40 is a fiercely competitive age group, getting tougher each year. A couple of M40s have got inside 14:30 for 5K this year, which is crazy.

Yeah, Matt Barnes is local to me think he's around that kinda time already this year. If i'm close to 1min/mile behind him at 5k or xc it's about par!

I practically bumped into Matt Barnes without realising last weekend running along the Bridgewater canal - a bit of strava fly by stalking revealed all.

Postcode rankings for rbr are quite wide areas - it's everyone in the first half of your postcode which is a fair few residences.

Meh. You guys just aren't trying hard enough.

I've just done a bit of runbritain following...I found JDA, Larkim and Windsor Wool by following the followers.

Big race for me on Sunday - Round Sheffield Run in a pair with my mate. 11 stages totalling about 21km of running up, down and round the parks and trails of Sheffield with short walking recoveries - Longest stage is 2.8km, shortest is the last stage, a 400m sprint. Over 2,000 feet of climb overall, so a challenging course!

My favourite race of the year and hope most of it will fall between 5k-10k effort (possibly with a smudge of HM effort), should be excellent 5k training!

One of those sub-14:30 V40 5k merchants lives in my village J2R!

Fortunately since my birthday last week I am now proudly the fastest V45 in the postcode. It won’t last :-)
