Not done many 10km's this year so about 67mins is fastest for me however in early March I did do a 5mile in 44 mins, so I should have carried for a further 2k!. Various niggles since then, so hopefully back into it later in the summer

First 10k race for getting on 2 years at end of May managed 60:52. This month dropped back quite a bit to 66:23 then picked it up 61:50. Another 10k race this Thursday. Too hilly to trouble sub 60, but will see if I can find any other races this year.

31/12 - St Albans 10k ran 62:40 as my starting point for the year. Annoying niggle for much of last year so hoping 2025 could be the year for the sub-60!

I’m going to be training gently for an April half and will try to add some pace after that.

I'm waiting for the icy cold to go then will have a tentative attempt at doing the C210K programme, adjusting as necessary. I'm hoping I'm recovered enough now to be able to manage a decent (if slow) build up to running 10k non-stop (slowly) and then I have a long term plan to go for sub 60 in 2026.

Good luck! I ran a couple in December: 1:10.00 and 1:06:31. I got within 36 seconds in June, so that's considerable backward progress.

Oops! A decent winter of training and you'll be back in with a shout by summer, @Dvorak

I have managed sub 60 min 10k during a longer race but want to actually do a sub 60 min 10k in a 10k race. Got within a minute in May and have also been on a downward slope since then. Am hoping I'll get back to running how I was this time last year eventually...
