um
And which case would it be 'OK to fart in bed' ITG?
(Unless 'far' is icelandic for something, almost anything, else)

ITG I have a friend who doesn't recognise people by their faces (including her husband), it's more common than I realised

very common and very embarassing, mulbs. I introduced myself to a lady in the street where we had just moved in. She had been over for dinner about 4 days earlier. Oops.
And yes, that was meant to be "fart" not "far". Farting in front of OH is fine. Farting in front of random football dads not so much.
The state of confusion was epic. I was some minutes peering in the dark at this corpse trying to decide who it was.

I don't recognise faces and it is quite awkward. The most recent example was when one of our neighbours was behind the checkout in the local Co-op and I failed to recognise her.

I just smile and wave to everyone and hope for some context before I have to interact...

[I am appalling at recognising people too, especially if they are out of context. I have a particular gift in mixing people up with others who are very, very much older. Nor can I put names to faces. Many of my colleagues are the same, but when we mention 'the wee woman with the dog' we pin them down very quickly]

I too have appalling facial recognition abilities, however, when I was working ( as a sexually transmitted disease doctor) I discovered that I had a talent for recognising people by their genitals. The moment their pants were off I remembered everything about them.
