Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Brilliant Chrisity!

I went to the supermarket this afternoon. Got there and was putting the first item in the trolley (I use scan and go) when it told me “no valid nectar card”. So I reached for my wallet...
The worst thing was I remember thinking I must remember my wallet just before I left the house. Had to go home, and come back and restart the shop. Then when I came to pay I couldn’t remember my pin. (Had to use a different card and of course remembered the pin as soon as I left the shop 🤦‍♀️)

Made myself cheese and tomato sandwiches last night without the tomato. Fortunately I realised this before I left for work this morning as the tomato I intended to use was still on the side.

Would be worse if you also forgot the cheese.

No, I sliced the tomato this morning and added it to the sandwiches.

A serendipitous moment perhaps - less chance of soggy sandwiches?

I sat for ten minutes on a Teams call this morning, supposed to be a 1:1 with my boss, wondering where the hell he was. Then realised I hadn't actually pressed the "Join" button. It's going to be a long day...

LOL, Yesterday I created a series of wednesday morning yoga classes for my colleagues on Zoom. It starts next Wednesday...so I had to create a separate one for this morning. One of my colleagues wasn't able to find the right meeting for this morning's class. :(

I went to take my inhaler this morning. Just before I pressed it for a puff, realised I hadn't taken the cap off!

When I went to feed the cat last night before bed, I noticed that the biscuits I'd given her when I came home from work were the rabbit's ones. No wonder she only ate half of them.

About This Thread

Maintained by ChrisHB
This morning I went to charge my kindle and instead found myself trying to charge my coffee mug. It was my third coffee of the day as well, clearly not strong enough!

=============

I was just drying my hair after a shower, I switched the hairdryer on and suddenly the bedroom was plunged into darkness, the hairdryer wasn't working either. Great, the electrics have just tripped out.

I find a torch, go to the fuse box but nothing has tripped - turns out I pressed the light switch instead of the hairdryer 'on' button.
