Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have lost most of my winter running things. I always put them away in the spring to make room for summer running things, and now can't find them. No long sleeve tops, no long strides. No idea where they are, or if I threw them out because they were getting a bit old with the intention of replacing them before the winter? Either way, I had to run in shorts this morning, even though it is perishing.

[I'm obviously way too organised - or don't have as much 'stuff' as Dillthedog. My 'winter' stuff gets moved to the back of the draw until this time of year - which is when the 'summer' stuff gets demoted to the back and the 'winter' stuff re-appears at the front]

I'm “organized” but I apparently forget where the organs are.

I said to my SO that I need an A-Z concertina folder to put away papers like Birth cert, Car ins … alphabetically. Apparently, I have one. It was pointed out. “Oh! I thought that that box was yours”, I said. On looking inside, I found it full of papers from 1995, and ever since then I have kept seeing it, assuming it didn't belong to me.

Neither of us has been nosey enough to rifle through the other person's things and the box has been lying dormant for nearly 30 years while my in-tray of papers to file has grown. Luckily, paper has started to go out of fashion in the intervening decades.

In the bleak midWinniefree
Two for the price of one. Was just gazing slightly puzzled at my Fetch Christmas name as it didn’t look quite right. In the bleak midwinter Winniefree not the deep one. Changed it.
Last night I succumbed to the karaoke challenge in the hotel but the young woman running it couldn’t find any version of Big Spender. That would be because I’d written that it was sung by Cilla Black.

Writing Christmas cards yesterday, after popping one into the already addressed envelope and sealing it, I found the written card, oops, I had put in a blank card 🤦🏼‍♀️

I went to get a bag of crisps to go with my lunch and came back with a plate. I already had a plate out.

About This Thread

Maintained by ChrisHB
This morning I went to charge my kindle and instead found myself trying to charge my coffee mug. It was my third coffee of the day as well, clearly not strong enough!

=============

I was just drying my hair after a shower, I switched the hairdryer on and suddenly the bedroom was plunged into darkness, the hairdryer wasn't working either. Great, the electrics have just tripped out.

I find a torch, go to the fuse box but nothing has tripped - turns out I pressed the light switch instead of the hairdryer 'on' button.
