I bought some foreign currency from the local priest, including US dollars for my forthcoming.
They are not in the drawer with the rest of the foreign currency. I must have put them somewhere so I wouldn't forget them. 🙈🙄
I have three weeks to find them.

Well, tourists leave all sorts of random currencies. He can change the notes if he has enough, but not the coins. I got USD, euros, pounds (9 of which I discovered at Gatwick had gone out of circulation in 2016 😮), Danish kronur and even 50 singapore dollars.
Everyone's a winner.

I just came home from Italy so passport was with me. I had started putting stuff together (it is a 3 month trip) but it is not there. Tickets are in my office. It would be weird if I had taken it there but possible.
I have at least, by elimination, determined it is in a little, orange purse so I know what to look for.

It is not in my office with tickets. Gonna have to empty home office. Just hope I didn't throw it out 😫. It's a couple of hundred dollars. Not life changing but enough for taxi rather than public airport transfers.

I found it! I was thinking about all the places I might have kept it safe (sic) and this morning, having eliminated everything else, wondered if I had put it in my headphones case. And sure enough!
I have no recollection of this.
I do think my memory is shot by perimenopause 😵💫. I'll try to get some treatment when I come back from US. I don't want to start anything then have to navigate US health inurance.

Do you take your headphones on the plane? Would be logical to put them there?
Do you need an SSN for the US, along with your visa? That will be a fun 2-3 hours in the local government offices.
