We went to Llyn Llech Owen from near where you are - there were about 70 finishers and it was possible to have no one else in sight most of the way round. It was 4 years ago though

We were limited by having a social event in Saundersfoot today. Colby normally has just over 100 but probably doubled that today.

About 250 again at Stormont. Glorious day. Training new RDs so brought the dog and left it to them

Beautiful as always at Sheringham. A mini fetch festival. Me and son #3 ran our 100th parkruns.

Was barcode support today - taking details for those whose barcodes didn't scan. Just had one person try to get me to read it from his phone. There's a gentle rise up to and beyond the finish where I was standing and it was great to see the event laid out before me - different reactions of people finishing, groups chatting marshals marshalling😊.
Re funnel discipline we seem to aim for 6 funnel managers to keep people moving and in line, which does seem ott but stops queue jumping

Mini yoga session on the grass after Parkrun at Aberdeen beach today, nice way to get some stretching done after a run. Very warm.

We stop funnel queue jumping by having a rope on one side and plastic netting on the other of a very narrow but long funnel. Haven't had a funnel ducker for a long while.
I RD'd for the first time in nearly three months today and really enjoyed it (though mercifully it was an incident-free run, unlike the last few weeks here when we've had all manner of things happening!)
