It’s great when a milestone is getting close - well done! I’ve got ages to my next running one, but a volunteer one isn’t too far away :-)

Broadwater today. No problem getting there and parkrun at Guildford Rugby Club was easy with well organised marshals. The course uses the sports fields, some woodland and the path around a large lake. It starts with a lap of the field, then two laps of the lake and the field combined. Today was sleeting, windy and cold, but I enjoyed the course, it's generally flat but had all sorts of surfaces and the lakeside path was very pretty. There's no cafe nearby, but a large van was there selling coffee and cake. It was not a day for lingering outside so we went to Frimley's regular cafe, as it was on the way home.

I liked Broadwater too, GH. I was at event #6. That field will be heavy going in the winter.

I'm planning on going to the Fetch mile event in Cambridge tomorrow and a parkrun on the way, rather than Cambridge itself, looks like the way to go. I'm thinking Stevenage as the course looks quite nice.
