Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

No parkrun this morning. :-( flooded paths. It was apparently ankle deep last night and more rain forecast. And it is water flowing over the paths into the river so definitely the right call but still really gutting. Wish we had an alternative.

It felt more like parkpaddle this morning- some if those puddles were very deep! I think there were shoelace gremlins hiding in them as I needed yo stop twice to retie my laces (different foot each time).

Very wet at Dinton, but at least we went ahead. CAZ was appreciative (as Woodley was cancelled at the last minute)

I notice that Aston Hall was cancelled this morning due to "shortage of volunteers" for what must be the second time before reaching their 8th event.

Is this a case of starting an event in an area where there is little 'demand'? i.e. there are a number of well established and attended Birmingham runs pretty much on the doorstep Or are they looking to run the event with 'too many' volunteers? - an argument had here on Fetch numerous times.

They've had between 19-30 volunteers for the last 5 weeks which seems comfortably above the 8 they started with in week 2. I just find it odd that a new run/core team are unable to keep a (minimal) volunteer roster filled regularly such early doors.
