I left my club because they conducted almost all of their business via Facebook and that effectively excluded me from everything.

Linds - one of the problems with the social side of clubs is they spend a lot of time just using social media

Cycling is still quite backwards but I am noticing it more and more

It wasn't just the social side. There was loads of training and race meet-ups etc. that were only publicised on FB. And the final straw was when I realised that there was a load of virtual stuff happening during lockdown that I knew nothing about.

Joined FERC now and might join another bricks and mortar club when things start to open up again. Or not.

The Facebook side of clubs is a pain. My local club is all on Facebook. However they are totally inclusive pace wise. We have lots of women too.

All in my former club could fit in a minibus - with space for a couple of guests too... ;)

We have a weekly email, although 90% of it is recycled week in week out. We have a FB page but its not used much. Then there are the WhatsAp groups, of which I'm not a part of as I don't have a suitable phone! However, the ladies captain does text me if there is something I need to know/or might be interested in.

We have a FB page which is well used, but I send a bulletin out to all members once every six weeks or so, and anything regarding club training, sessions and races is put on the website as well as FB. FB does carry a lot of social stuff though - for example last weekend a lot of us were tracking one of our members doing the GUCR ultra, and that wasn't on the website :-(

We use a combination of Facebook and messenger + currently Eventbrite to sign up for sessions, but as a newish club less than 10 years old I guess its always been that way whereas for more established clubs it may feel like a jump. Anything important does go out on email to all members though.

Of course you lot could just be a bunch of old luddites rather than us fresh faced digital natives (what a grotesque term that is :) )
