Club vests were never that common at Falkirk, though there were some. Post Alloa HM, there would be an annual influx of new t-shirts, and after Edinburgh as well. Someone ran past my house in an Alloa t-shirt a couple of days ago. I still wear such race t-shirts as aren't exposing my middle - a decreasing supply these days. Parkrun t-shirts for fakeparkruns, usually.

I certainly won’t be wearing my 1992 London Marathon T shirt anywhere. It’s about three feet wide and twelve inches long! Not really a medium.

parkrun milestone Ts at parkrun unless I'm touristing, then its Fetch tops! Club vest for real races. Then we have an unwritten rule that new race Ts have to be warn to the next club session.

I wheel out a 250 tshirt if a friend has an anniversary event(if I remember)
I always wear a plain tshirt at parkrun or at club.
I have a couple of tshirts from my running career and I wear them when I run alone. They are my memories of who I was and have become quite personal.

When I coached the kids were told that club vests are for when you officially represent the club. Not for training and not for parkrun.

I would maybe caution club runners that they are representing their club when they are wearing their club vests.
I now know lots of good people from my local running club, but my initial impression of the club was made watching their runners gossiping loudly over the runners briefings at my first few parkruns.
I feel it is important to pick the right t-shirt for the right event, marathon t-shirts the week after London, ultra t-shirts for junior parkrun, local 10k t-shirts the Saturday after the race.

I wear my club vest if going out flat out, which is rare for me. Our club has close ties to parkrun and I also feel its a good advert to other runners who are thinking of joining a club.
Otherwise it's just the top of pile 😂
I have a shirt I actually won from Green Belt Relay, but I tend not to wear that at parkrun as I feel a bit show off in it (says stage winner on the tee).

Pretty much what CW said - except I was too slow for any of the clubs round here, so usually the apricot for races too.
