Open Water Swimming

My swimming isn't up to the distance within the time frame, there's no way I'm going to make 5.5km in 3.5 hours. This time next year, maybe, but not this year. So with that in mind I looked at my options. I could just write it off as a bad investment. But then I'd always have the nagging, 'maybe I should' thought in my head, when I really can't. I could get a partial refund. I could transfer the place. The current entry fee is £105. To transfer the place the person taking the place would need to make a reasonable offer, and also pay the £15 transfer fee. This would all need to be done within the next few days (transfers can actually happen up until August, but getting my money back expires soon). So, any takers? My place is for a wetsuit swimmer, and includes the coach from the end to the start.

poppyH Apr 2023 5:54pm, 23 Apr 2023 2,049 posts	0 poppyH brrrrrr. I got back in the cold water today, via an intro session at Divers Cove. It was blimmin cold, I usually swim skins but I was glad of my shorty wetsuit today. Still, first one done with, they'll get warmer from here on in.

Todays crazy seaside whirlpool took us through sunshine and a rain storm and back to sunshine! Beautiful to be in the water for 25 blissful minutes though! Definately slightly on the up in temp
