Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Lots to feel joyful about today….
Started with parkrun and a lovely cup of tea and chat afterwards with my friends.
Even more joyful was finishing my 1,000 piece jigsaw (the first jigsaw I’ve done for years!)

Nothing more joyful than a gloriously sunny day in winter.
Slopping around in the mud in a race.
Coming home to an empty house after visitors have gone home (I do like to have them, I also like it when they leave :) )

Didn't post yesterday but my Jan 1st one was that I looked out of a window of somewhere I have been an occasional visitor for the last eight and a half years but instead of looking over towards the right I looked left past the neighbouring houses and realised for the first time that in the far distance I could actually see the sea. It made my day!

January has begun. Joyuary will start when (if) this bloody rain ever stops….

But I’m busy house clearing, by the end of the month I’ll have handed my notice in from part time job and will have a full retirement date and will be living in the Cotswolds. Joy indeed by the end of the month 😃

Joyous indeed, BBL and TRO!

I've just bumped into my ex boss from 20 years ago. It was lovely to see him and his wife and to have a brief catch up.

Yesterday started with the migraine from hell and I missed the gloriously sunny day. I got my moment of joy on the evening dog walk. It was a clear, crisp night and the stars were out. I switched the head torch off and took a moment.

I love a good walk in the rain, and walked back from dropping the car off for its MOT.

About This Thread

Maintained by Raetomic Kitten
As the arse end of the year is generally miserable, and to my mind is not improved by resolving to deny oneself one's greatest pleasures, I've decided to set myself a different new challenge: to find out create a moment of joy every day and record it - mostly in a Facebook group that a friend of mine set up several years ago for 'Fabruary', but I thought there might be a few Fetchies who would enjoy the concept too.

My idea is that moments of joy can come in all sizes - an...
