Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Great idea Rae and a nice companion to the gratitude journal that I plan to start today. I also like the idea of just one month to focus me. Maybe it’ll become a habit!

Went for a swim in the river this morning with the largest group so far, there were 8 of us, and one had brought a chocolate pannetone for 'breakfast'.

We got up early, drove to the coast so I could join strangers for a NYD dip in the (not quite) North Sea. We sang songs and laughed a lot. It was very joyful.

As my run this morning was a slow thing I was able to say hello and HNY to lots of people and their dogs!
Got several smiles in return which is nice
It’s that time of year when it’s not deemed weird to say hello to strangers which is a good thing.

That feeling on my run/walk this morning when I got to the top of the hill, turned around and realised how wonderful the view was.

We also went for a new year dip - at a campsite that's usually closed in the winter, but opened specially today for a local coldwater swimming group.
They also fired up the sauna for after, and provided soup and gluhwein.

A very joyful start to the year, all told 😁

Ravens. Saw & heard a Raven when walking today. Always makes me chuckle with glee when I see or hear a Raven.

About This Thread

Maintained by Raetomic Kitten
As the arse end of the year is generally miserable, and to my mind is not improved by resolving to deny oneself one's greatest pleasures, I've decided to set myself a different new challenge: to find out create a moment of joy every day and record it - mostly in a Facebook group that a friend of mine set up several years ago for 'Fabruary', but I thought there might be a few Fetchies who would enjoy the concept too.

My idea is that moments of joy can come in all sizes - an...
