A Rae in a manger
Bonus joy for me: went to the gym than for a swim with rugby girls, both of which were pleasant enough, we relaxed in the warmer 'instruction pool' and I spent a solid minute floating with my ears under the water and my eyes closed just feeling the lovely feeling of having used all my muscles well.

Yesterday’s joy was finally enjoying a decent walk with the dog after being ill. It reminded me how important those dog walks became during lockdown and what a privilege it is to be able to walk from my door into lovely surroundings.

Thanks for the pointer to the thread halfpint, I have worked with a yogi run coach for a lot of years and I think picked up practicing gratuity without really realising it but more recently attending a couple of the yoga/run retreats has really focused my mind on this albeit without really thinking about it. My running coach who I met at one of these retreats is massively into gratuity and one of the reasons I signed up to be coached by her. She has got me reading the Daily Stoic, I bought it back in July but only intermittedly picked it up. My goal this year is to read it and build it into my daily gratuity meditation. Day 3 going well but need to record it so yes have bought myself a diary to use as a journal. Long way of saying I am in Raemondo - now to make time and remember to check in. Thank you we can all be grateful for the small things which add up to make a difference. |

Joy this morning on getting up early and having a leisurely cuppa, shortly joined by Stanley Dog who wanted cuddles.

Yesterday's joy was brought on one of the best runs with my bestie, we embraced the ridiculous mud, laughed at sliding down a hill quicker than we could trudge up it and even the glorious faceplant by yours truly had us wetting ourselves. Who needs speed when you can have fun!

Ooo, the daily stoic sounds interesting, geordiegirl might have to check it out I've just remembered I bought a garden almanac for 2024 and haven't looked at January yet. Just the thing to go with my morning coffee. And welcome, the more people sharing their moments of joy the better! |

I saw the sun peeping through the trees, and yes the temporary absence of rain is a joy

I was at my desk (home) 7.30 this morning and am caught up on all my emails and actions in time for 9.00 most people coming online and meetings. It's a small thing, but I prefer to be ahead of things than behind. Happy day everyone. G
