A Rae in a manger
As the arse end of the year is generally miserable, and to my mind is not improved by resolving to deny oneself one's greatest pleasures, I've decided to set myself a different new challenge: to find out create a moment of joy every day and record it - mostly in a Facebook group that a friend of mine set up several years ago for 'Fabruary', but I thought there might be a few Fetchies who would enjoy the concept too.
My idea is that moments of joy can come in all sizes - and little ones like reading a book in the bath, to cooking your favourite meal, or taking a few minutes to watch birds on a feeder in the garden, should be accessible to most people.
Anyone like to join me?

Let's see how we do with one month before setting our sights on the whole year - the group my friend made on FB attempted that and we found that if it goes on indefinitely it's more difficult to keep up the momentum, and it sort of petered out.

I do this in my journal, a little note of joy and gratitude (yeah, I'm one of those people!)
You can find joy in the tiniest of things -
I saw a person in a super neon orange beanie, made me smile.
Dubbing Jane McDonald over an otherwise beautiful song, 'Hello Love' had me in stitches!
