Nice! Edging forward while enjoying it is a good combination.

A DNF for me this morning.

The RowAlong randomizer gave me a mid tier session of 5 x 8 minutes 26 spm 2k+10, 2-min rests. The quads were talking to me during the third rep and protesting during the fourth, when I began to struggle and the stroke rate was creeping up. Average pace was on target though, despite that. Maybe I should have manned up and gone for the fifth rep but I felt discretion was the better part of valour. And I was a tad wobbly when I got up off the machine.

But still a decent workout when all's said and done. No harm done. Onwards and upwards.

If it feels like you'd done enough, Muttley, you probably had. Sounds like a big one with 5 x 8 minutes too. That's 40 minutes at speed, which feels like a lot.

Another 3 x 10 min at r18 again this evening. I'm just clocking up the strokes and seeing where they take me.

Nowhere. They take me nowhere. It's a rowing machine. It doesn't move does it?

Nowhere.

Hey, does anyone know what to do with an existential crisis because I seem to be having one I don't want. ;-)

@Nellers You need to join forces with @EarlyRiser on the Arms Like Garth thread fetcheveryone.com/forum/arms-like-garth---a-weight-training-wire-62488/72 (also having an existential crisis about going nowhere :-) )

I got nowhere again tonight for 7km (split at 2 x 15 min at r18).

Winter has definitely arrived at the South Essex Rowing and Rehab Centre ;-). Yesterday I was rowing in a vest. Tonight it was a long sleeved thermal. 1c in the shed. Chilly!

Nice progress, Nellers.

You’ve reminded me to dig out my layers for my row in the garage tonight! But I shouldn’t complain because I had to do all my rowing outside in the back yard before we moved house. That was chilly!

Storm Bert is here and it's wild and windy with horizontal rain. I'm not going for a run in that and probably won't tomorrow either, and that is why I have the erg. A gentle 10k at UT2 this morning, keeping myself toasty warm while the rain streams down the windows.

4 x 10 min at r18 this morning as the wind whistled around the shed and Bert tried to get in.

After a couple of days of sub-zero overnight it was 14c in the shed today and I'm back in my vest.

Looking at the monthly chart, even with a dodgy back Nellers is faster than me ... :-)
