SPR, I did an easy run with the strap and wrist sensor displayed using that data field larkim mentioned ages ago, and for me the difference was laughable. Sometimes the wrist sensor was very high, and other times very low. I didn't try it in an interval session though.

For completeness, the chest strap isn't totally fool proof for me either though. In the winter, sometimes for the first mile or so, the readings are too high, I think possibly caused by a contact issue. I don't seem to get the problem as much in the summer, maybe because I get warmer quicker in the summer? I don't know. I know there is a spray you can get to help with the contact, but it is not really an issue, as generally my first mile or so of my runs are very easy anyway. If/when this HR strap breaks I would probably go for the Polar to try that out as loads of people like it.

Agree that the polar feels a little behind; maybe 1-2s delay. But that's compared to my wrist HRM now. I only really detected that delay when using them side by side.

57.5 Days of Pain
I have a rather basic problem. Left my 245 charging cable at my mum's and won't be back for a few days. Anyone got any comments on the cheapo versions on Amazon?

I've had no issues with cheap charging cables. The cheap ones might not last as long, but unless you're talking about Apple devices, I think they are pretty universal.

Cheapest on ebay (location UK) has been fine for me. I like that stand, especially the comfortable viewing angel ๐Ÿ˜‡

I've got one of these amazon.co.uk for my 5X - far, far better than the original Garmin cable.

I also bought one of those AndyS, but it failed after a couple of months. Luck of the draw I figured, so I bought another as a spare but haven't got around to using it yet.
