Sensible progressive build up is definitely the way to go. Nice work guys.

After my 1.6 mile run, 10 rounds of 5 /10 /15 chinups /pressups /squats. Half Murph (without the run after but felt it would have been OK). Most rounds done ever and a bit more in the tank I reckon 😊.

It was 16 minutes for the bodyweight exercises. Have found better if really try and do them at a gentle pace rather than trying to get through them quickly like I did the first time I tried the Murph.

Well done. So are you going for the full murph when we fix on a date?

I'm thinking it's more plausible than I first thought. Will keep trying to keep increasing the number of rounds over the next few days when time permits 😊

Right then, I've made a start No jogging either side, but...
It's slightly modified, in that i'm doing shoulder presses instead of pull ups, I did 5 sets with totals of:
shoulder press: 52 (first 3 sets with 13kg dumbells, final 2 sets were 8.5) Press ups: 55 (I thought I would be stronger here, should have carried on the Joe Wickes Squats: 150 (easy enough once I got going, might do these weighted sometimes.
Expecting to be a bit stiff tomorrow, but must keep on it now.
How's it all going for you?

Well done lammo, and that's an interesting modification. One of the things about Murph is that it covers the classic Gym Bro Split (Pull (ups), Push (ups), Legs (Squats)). Your version is going to be more push, so harder on triceps and shoulders I guess. Interested to hear progress.
I'm a bit stuffed at the mo. I've pulled a muscle in my upper back rowing and it's sore when I run or pull or push! I can do squats and lunges and I can walk. No pushups, pull ups, running or rowing until it settles down I'm afraid!

I’m doing sets every day. Just resting for the weekend as I have a time trial coming up. I’ll give the challenge (or half the challenge) a go when ever it is!

Morning, well Nellers, unsurprisingly you were right, my triceps are still very sore, maybe i'll go for bent over rows instead of shoulder press next time...
...if there was to be a next time
