Hmmm, 3k at lunchtime helped me mentally but was tougher than I thought it should have been after an easy Sunday. I'll probably have to log it as threshold on project Joker as I'm unlikely to get time to throw in a junk run.

Maybe you need a bit of care time scribbler I felt like that a few weeks ago my run/training was just harder than it should be. Rest up thr alternative at the moment here is dire!

Cheers GG. I think it's mainly mood related and I was running into the wind at first. I felt better once I'd warmed up a bit, but was equally glad/frustrated that I couldn't stay out longer. Nice to run in the daylight, but mostly I think I'm better off running along my coast, even in the dark!

There is a lot to be said about that your heart was probably in the longer run at home and the fact your mind is on other things. I can deal with most things but wind!

Sometimes things just go that way Scribbler. Last Monday I pretty much binned my run as it felt so hard/I felt I had nothing, and then this week I managed 4 miles - the furthest run since July. Ups and downs!

Certainly isn’t. I’ve been to docs it’s a chest infection. Right lung is ok but left has minimal capacity. She was quite concerned and any signs of getting worse I have to go straight back 😬
The sensation on my skin is due to fever. So no work for a few days complete bed rest and no training allowed for a good few weeks. With Oz on the horizon I’m not taking any risks. So if I blather in about running more than a chilled meander when I’m feeling 110% you have permission to remind me of This post.
I cannot risk affecting Australia (esp not with a virus causing concerns worldwide!)

GG, I know you wanted to reach 50+ this month, and you will be disappointed at not being able to manage it. I would be perfectly willing to lend you a couple of miles, until you're fit again - that is, if you can work out how it can be done! But just you concentrate on getting better, and try to forget the running for the time being. Just put your feet up and get on with your knitting. Now that is a really exciting prospect!

Long term health is much more important than January mileage GG - you rest and I really hope you feel better soon.
I know what you mean Scribbler - my run last night was far harder than it had any right to be - not sure if I have a low level virus, or whether work stress impacted it, but oooof!
Anyway, onwards and upwards! Hope everyone has a good Wednesday
