Up and down but ok - I’m managing to run parkrun. I would love to be able to run more and for it to not feel such a struggle. It’s very variable, I can have a really strong day, then a day with painful feet, then a day when my hip is sore and niggly (sciatic nerve like)... It would also be great if it was a specific thing or if sports massage was helpful - it’s generally not. But it’s just a matter of listening to my body and endlessly feeling uncertain whether it’s better to do a bit more or a bit less 😂 Sometimes more really helps, sometimes less.
And then I eat too much 😂

New Garmin fenix 6s is helping me to feel like a runner. What a fab watch. I adore the fenix 3 but always forget or manage to get the sensors over sports bra meaning it doesn’t connect. So I’m sure this will be a great addition.
Now to sell the 3 to pay towards it.

My wife and I went out for a run about 8:30am, and it was fine and a little sunny with winds only 20 - 25mph. Anyway we went down to the cycleway (quite sheltered by trees). I did 5 miles. Within 20 minutes of us getting back home, the weather arrived! Oh yes showers of rain, hailstones, and it was even raining cats & dogs - or maybe not. Evidently we privileged people living in the southern half of UK are being spared the worst of the weather - that even includes our part of Wet Wales!

Wow you did well to miss it Ev, my hubby good the dog out on Sunday got in showered her off (field was muddy) and boom the rain and winds came. I’m happy to be snuggled on the sofa.
Definite improvement here but I’m working from home this week. Don’t think my fake boss was too chuffed but her problem not mine (our boss left last year not being replaced so my colleague & friend is now my line manager don’t know if the bands off is genuine not wanting to appear to pressure me but it’s gone to other extreme) and I’m more important than my job that I’m doing perfectly well remotely.
Entered Blaydon race last night so slick it was easy! Put it in my diary and discovered it’s conference week which I may have to argue that I can’t go I missed last year as we were in holiday so it may be a struggle.

I’m not in yet! Tonight... Though to be honest I’ve always managed to get in when I’ve tried. I know there’s no guarantee. I have a trusty person entering for me tonight (he entered himself yesterday).

Not shaping up to be a bad week this week – 2 miles yesterday, 3 miles today, and then a planned 2 miles on Thurs and 3 miles over the weekend. Might actually hit 10 miles this week

No Blaydon Race for me this year. Never mind. It’s not the end of the world. Gives me longer to train for a sub 50.

Just updated the Race Planner. I couldn't remember whether new race entries should be in red or black. Apologies for having both colours on my line at the moment!
