Well done WM!
Why is running so hard? Slogged my way round 2.9 miles today with several walking breaks.

I know that feeling Pen. I ran just over 5k this morning, with walk breaks, feeling every degree of the cold and muscles getting tighter not looser! Hopefully all this base training will pay off eventually

Wowser just in from a 1.8m walk I’m goosed. So still no sign of running here.

I do think winter gets to us in the end I do find some runs easier and others massively harder more so during winter. The wind and cold just cut through you.

Evening everyone, hope you're all OK, work and life have been getting in the way this week so no running until tonight and very little Fetchieness either! GG hope you're getting better, it's so frustrating when you're laid up. Well done WM, Scrib and Evangel and big up to PenW too! Still taking the walking breaks myself but last week's Parkrun showed me that I'm getting faster! This slow 80/20, Jeffing, heart rate stuff seems to be paying off!

When will this alienate?? Been to Newcastle today to do some holiday essentials. I am absolutely worn out. I honestly thought by now it would be easing.

Without going into too much info I am prone to coughing to wrenching. Last night I was actually sick and I was worried to see blood in it. So I’ll be calling docs on Monday. Thankfully it is currently a one off.

It’s a bit blustery out there so any brace souls be careful.

I did the usual I’m missing running thing and upgraded my fenix 3 to a fenix 6. Biggest reason is I hate wearing a chest band and at my SportFit classes it sometimes does t work. I know it’s not essential but I like to have a guide on how effective the work out has been/how hard I’ve worked.

It’s arriving today so that will keep me out of mischief for a while.

So sad to see me falling so low on the chart. But I’ll have fun catching up I’m sure.

Great running Ev!

Stop checking the chart until you’re fit and running regularly without coughing your lungs up GG. You will catch up quickly

About This Thread

*EDIT* in the current situation we are not entering races but I think we can still log any plans we may have over the coming months, whether it is learning a new skill, ticking jobs off a list, moving house(!), doing alternative exercise, aiming for training hours instead of miles, writing to family & friends, finding inventive ways to be together virtually or even entering virus races please fill in the planner and I’ll update this thread and keep our little social group going to share our goals.

Everyone is welcome, whether you don't want to set an official target or you may be aiming further but still want to pop by for a chat/offer some words of wisdom or just because the door is always open and kettle is on.

(When you go in give yourself a colour so I know you're wanting to be on the sheet so I can keep it tidy)

If you update the race planner after I've updated the header drop me an fmail or a reminder (or 2) on the thread so I know to update. Thanks
