Sounds about right. I had a tendinopathy in my right hamstring two years' ago. My physio gave me a sheet of exercises and to buy a resistance band.
Time-wise you would look at a couple of months' recovery time. On a positive note, instead of rest, I was told to carry on running and to push myself. I found I could not run beyond ten miles without my hamstring tightening but, without noticing, I suddenly realised that I was going beyond that distance and I was out of the woods!
Don't be too despondent, ER. It's frustrating but it really is only a short-term problem.

Good luck with those exercises. I am toying with going to see someone who does a biometric assessment of you and gives you exercises to help being your back into alignment.
As predicted no running but a lovely walk along the beach to blow the cobwebs away. Now heading home for a nap!

Given that I've rather crazily signed up to a 14 mile (ish) trail run in July, for which my 'taper' will be a sprint triathlon, I think I'd better stick around this gang rather than dropping back to 400 miles as a goal.

Your mileage goal can be anything in here scribbler, benefit of being here is we’re both doing the run so we can keep each other motivated. My plan today was to run the beach first thing but I could barely do the walk we did.
I’ll get my beach training in at Oz and think a few rendezvous runs will get us in shape.

Sounds like a good plan GG. Now if I can just work out how to train for a 500k bike ride at the same time, I’ll be laughing :/)

The bike will help your running so don’t stress it! Where are you off too this year?

Happy Sunday morning 500milers! Didn't get a run done yesterday but did enjoy a very muddy dog walk with Mrs.SB and Badger. However, the boss has just gone off to her sister's for the day so once my chores are done I think I'll be donning the waterproofs and heading out!

Good work Wednesday Mouse! Had a soggy trail run myself, quite enjoyed it though and another square conquered for Conquercise!

Bit of a lazy day for me. Instead of long run Sundays it’s my day for getting out with Mr S and my camera. Sometimes this involves a bit of a hike, but today it was just a bit of a wander to a beach, to a wildlife hide and exploring a wood. I’ve done my steps and movement for the day, so I’ll do some stretching and aim for a long run early on Monday morning.
