Fetchie down I feel like I’ve been bulldozered. Gutted but I have to get better as Australia is only 6 weeks away and need to be fighting fit.
I’ll be here to chivvy you on and I’ll play catch up soon. Stay healthy and injury free nothing more annoying than wanting to run when your. It’s says get real!

GG, don't worry, most of us have down days, but you'll get lots of good days and good runs.
I did my weekly long run this am - 7.50 mls, and unusually for me I had no back trouble ( a problem from when I had a couple of prolapsed discs nearly 16 years ago).

Great running Ev! Good news on the back too. I had a random one during the ultra last year, my knee that had been problematic since breaking my foot. I realised that my knee didn’t hurt and so far (fingers crossed) it’s been great since. Given what the terrain was like on Cleveland way I can only presume it righted something.
You’re very right and it’s pointless trying to do anything the way I feel.

Take care of yourself GG - running's not going anywhere, there'll be plenty of chance to catch up post-Oz.
I had a lovely, foggy 2 miles this morning. The fairly mundane municipal park I run around had a really nice mystical air to it; felt like I could have been in middle earth somewhere.

Oh that sounds nice. A foggy run in right place can be lovely.

Hope you feel better soon GG - sounds like a good rest is in order.
Foggy run sounds great!
Running home from work tonight - and it even looks as if it might not rain (keeps fingers crossed!)

Treacle, if crossing your fingers can control the rain clouds, we could use you and your powers here in South Wales! I hope you have a good dry run home by the way.
I did a nice easy paced (dry) 4 miles this morning.

Get well soon GG and definitely get the bug out of your system before your trip.
I had planned to get out for another Project Joker session this morning, but didn't sleep particularly well (brain whirring) and my foot was feeling a bit tight/PF like so I opted for a swim instead.
That's eased the tightness in my foot nicely, so I might try a short run at lunchtime or switch my run miles to Friday and Saturday

Thanks all it’s a while since I have been floored like this. Took Ellie for a short walk I was hanging on way back.
Sensible approach Scribbler and well done Ev
