GG, I don't think I streaked past you, but more 'staggered' or 'trundled' past you. No doubt you are quite right in the implication of your comment, that because I'm an OAP I don't have any work that would get in the way of training!

I am just nightly jealous I’m warning on a get out of work plan but apparently I’m too expensive even when I earn money 😂

Well I went out over the woods as it’s quite windy so thought it would shelter me a bit. I really struggled my chest felt tight my head and sinuses is like cotton wool so it was slower than I’d hoped. I did push for miles 3&4 to tick off a project joker run Ready for a snooze now.

10.6 miles at zero degrees. A bit cautious not to slip over in the first mile or so, especially at sharp or downhill turns. Pace still OK so glad to get it over and done with.

Well done Phil I’m kitted up at my in-laws then I’ll run hone in a while. It’s a tad cold out there but dry and hopefully the wind will stay away too.

8.5m done I had the absolute privilege of 2 foxes running out in front of me in the woods as I stood in awe they came back again gutted I hadn’t taken my phone out in time for a photo. They were beautiful

Also fabulous to see so many families enjoying a beautiful winters day in the park all round feel good kind of day.

I see that I've slipped right down to 7th today. I'm no match for those sleek young greyhounds - people like you GG. Still I never expected to be up at 2nd or 3rd for long.

Today is a rest day for me. Tomorrow, I shall do my usual 5 miles somewhere.

and tomorrow you will streak past me Ev. I am completely awe of you (& geordiemum) shoeing is slightly younger fetchies how to do it.

I won’t be out much (again) this week. It’s Geordiehusbands 50th tomorrow. I’ve got a few things planned this week and next weekend. Only 7 weeks to Oz so need to get some work done sorting that. Glad to have done as much as I have to start my running year off in style.

A very slippy slidey 4 miles yesterday, lovely to be out in the fresh air although I managed a new born foal impression as I skated down the road!

Well done GG and Evangel, I briefly hit 5th the other day but have since slipped out of the top 10, will have to get out for a little one tonight me’thinks!

About This Thread

*EDIT* in the current situation we are not entering races but I think we can still log any plans we may have over the coming months, whether it is learning a new skill, ticking jobs off a list, moving house(!), doing alternative exercise, aiming for training hours instead of miles, writing to family & friends, finding inventive ways to be together virtually or even entering virus races please fill in the planner and I’ll update this thread and keep our little social group going to share our goals.

Everyone is welcome, whether you don't want to set an official target or you may be aiming further but still want to pop by for a chat/offer some words of wisdom or just because the door is always open and kettle is on.

(When you go in give yourself a colour so I know you're wanting to be on the sheet so I can keep it tidy)

If you update the race planner after I've updated the header drop me an fmail or a reminder (or 2) on the thread so I know to update. Thanks
