Go-KL This race was run with an icy cold wind that was in your face for the first half, but made for a swift return to base. Considering I had in my notes that I didn't try very hard in this race makes the time quite impressive. However the big concern was that the right lower shin was very painful during and after the race. Some weeks later whilst training out in Australia I had a complete breakdown where I couldn't put any weight on it at all. On my return to England I was told to assume it was a stress fracture and so I spent another 6 weeks on crutches and another slow return to running fitness.
