Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

My own stopwatch said 1.37.59 but the chip time added one second. Oh well, still a PB.

Jonny Broke my Pb by nearly 4 mins. The speed sessions on the track have definately worked. Knee & shin were giving my trouble in the first 4 miles but then faded. Experienced a few stomach cramps during & after the race. Had a sticky patch at about 10 miles but then accelerated from 11.5 miles to the finish overtaking handfulls of other runners. Tiny bit disappointed I couldn't beat 1.32.

Forest Runner My times are slipping badly in the wrong direction and I need to halt the trend as soon as possible.

However, for some reason, my legs were really achey even before the start of the race, and right from the start, it felt like I was running on legs that had already done about 20 miles. It was my legs that slowed me down, and if they had felt much stronger, I'm sure I could have been much quicker.

eMpTy Not a fast course for me the undulations seem to always catch up with me in last 3 miles on this.

Today we also had to contend with quite a strong wind which I felt meant you had to work particularly hard miles 4.5 - 7.

Finished in a course PB so am quite pleased.

GAZGIB Caught a cold 2 days earlier, so just had a gentle jog around the course. Even so still had to ease off from ten to the finish.

Um Bongo A PB by more than 8 mins so improving but couldn't see any mile markers at beginning so went too fast at start and paid for it in the last few miles which were hell. Until the last 3 miles on track for 1:48 which was my target. Just had a bad day.

blue (pete) Well, what a blinder - fantastic day, beautiful weather, good course, a pb for me - though the above time is by my garmin as I'm not on the results list as yet! Also, Garmin showed that I'd run 13.23 miles - shows how much weaving about I must have done. I think I'll do this one again but my family will only come along if there is a better (to scale) map as the drawn one is rubbish.

cidermonkey a pb by nearly 4 and a half minutes on a windy course, so pretty pleased. recommended race, picturesque course (well, some of it) and big enough to feel like an event, while not so big that you spend half your time tripping over other people's feet. and sunshine, perfect!
