Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

DrBob Trail race on gravel tracks so not very quick but a great day out
Too much caffeine before the start and heart rate went wayward a couple of times, so had to ease off each time
Got first mv40
On the way back, hopefully!

brotherjohn Suprised to get so close to my BP running off road on a far from flat course and after missing so much training. So pleased with the run today. Ran the first kilometer way too fast (3.29!) but managed to hold it together for the whole race. Nice event, nice weather, nice people, good day out.

swerver Current PB is 44:17 from 31st Dec 08, training going ok so trying to beat 44 mins. Had some knee problems but if all sorted should do it. Just completed MK Half in 1:41.43 so hopefully can build on that and get a PB on this race. UPDATE - Did pants sorry for those that bet on me just didn't enjoy and hence the rubbish time.

Gem* I'm now thinking that 48 will be pretty hard... but it's good to have a challenge. I normally just go with the flow, but thought I should challenge myself this time! checked the wind - 2mph - thank god - wind is my nemesis!

This was a very hard race, but really enjoyable! Beautiful weather, got very hot throughout and there were some tough very gradual undulations. Unfortunately queues for the loos meant that I started at the back, so I had a bit of overtaking and dodging, but overall pretty pleased as I've achieved a PB!

ButterflyLou (MrsMothy) This will be my longest run in about a month. Just got orthotics and different shoes so going to take it easy and enjoy being able to run a race again with lots of Werrington Joggers to encourage (from the back)! Post-race update - ran with Mrs C and we did really well. Awaiting official time as can't find results yet! Orthotics did well!

BrianJ Not a PB, but an OK result. Course was surprisingly undulating and had some tricky bits of trail underfoot, but it was the warm weather that got me after 8K - did mile 5-6 in 10:11, before a bit of a sprint finish. This is a new race and the organisers got everything spot on - great job guys.
